What is Rise?

Rise is the Jr. High and High School group of Northridge Christian Church and is open to all students that are in grades 7 thru 12.  We meet Wednesday nights for Rise at 7pm in the Youth Room of Northridge Christian Church.

Our Vision

The Vision of Rise Youth Ministry is to lead Jr. High and High School students in the San Fernando Valley into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit and to then equip them to become committed, mature believers in Christ.

What you can expect from Rise Youth Ministry*

COME

·          We create a loving environment that is relevant to today’s generation and accepting of ALL students so that they may freely come to Jesus.

·          We have contemporary Worship that 1) prepares our hearts to hear Gods Word and 2) allows us to respond to God with reverence, adoration and love.

REST

·          We help students find rest by leading them to Jesus Christ.

·          We give students the opportunity to accept Jesus Christ and commit their lives to Him on a weekly basis so that they may find true rest.

·          We teach students that Jesus is the only one who can provide true rest for our souls, deliverance from our sin, and eternal life in Heaven.

LEARN

·          We have relevant, accurate, & clear Biblical teaching that is verse by verse to teach students about the only one true and living God.

·          We will teach students how to read their Bibles in context so that they will grow closer to Jesus through their knowledge and understanding of Him.

BE

·          We mentor students and teach them to be Christ like by having close personal relationships between the leaders and students.  This will happen through calling every student every week to pray with and for them. 

·          We give students an opportunity to take part in mission work by supporting foreign missionaries through prayer and financial giving.

·          We help students be conformed into the image of Christ during and through small groups, activities, and retreats.

·          We equip students to impact there generation with the love of Jesus Christ.  This will happen through mission trips and student lead outreaches in local Public Jr. High and High Schools.

What you can expect on Wednesday nights

Each Wednesday night we meet for a time of Worship and teaching from the Bible.  We then split up into smaller groups to discuss the message and to pray with and for one another.
